Okay, these were awesome enough that I made you a short video about them.

My two favorite coffee substitutes

I used to be an avid coffee drinker - 2 pots a day avid. I loved the taste. Black. Pure. Coffee snob - that's what I was. Years ago when I gave up coffee, it was hard to find a replacement that gave me the same depth of taste coffee did.  Finally though, I did. Here are my two favorites. They are good on their own, or combined for a lot of depth. You can probably find the Dandyblend at your local health food store. I have to order my Crio Bru from Amazon.

Dandyblend is based off of - you guessed it - Dandilions - so not only does it taste good, it cleanses our body - especially the liver.

Crio Bru has 1 ingredient. Chocolate. Roasted chocolate to be exact. We all know chocolate (minus sugar) is good for us, but did you know that Chocolate contains tryptophan, a chemical in the brain that is used to produce the neurotransmitter, serotonin. High levels of serotoninstimulate the secretion of endorphins, and produce feelings of elation?

Crio doesn't simply taste like cocoa though, it really does taste a little like coffee in the french press.

Give it a whirl if you want to start your morning by doing something awesome for your body.

Quick and Easy Dinner

I've been swamped all day, so dinner tonight had to be quick and easy. Just because it is fast doesn't mean I have to compromise health though! Sometimes simple is best. The older I get the more respect I have for simplicity. Tonight is a huge salad (seems to be the theme this week!) and some stuffed grape leaves. Yummmmm.

My favorite store bought salad dressing

I had a huge salad for lunch today with my favorite store bought dressing. Don't get me wrong, I love to make my own dressing. It is uber good and super good for me, but sometimes we just don't have the time or inkling to make our own stuff - well, at least I don't all the time. ;)

This is my all time favorite dressing from the store with only a handful of natural ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar, Olive Oil, Honey, Braggs Liquid Amino, Water, Organic Onion, Organic Pepper, Xanthan Gum

Super Yummy! If you try it, let me know what you think!

Intro

My name is Tammy-Beth and I hope this blog can in a way be about you - things to make your life better and maybe a little easier.  I've been plant based for a good part of 27 years but during that time I had periods where I strayed. One such time was the year I went Paleo. That's a whole 'nother story! lol. I did discover during that time that I loved sharing recipes, and life and my blog had about 10k hits a month. The blog is long gone, as is the short Paleo affair, but I miss sharing life with you!

I hope you get something too - a smile, a recipe, or something useful you can bless your life.

Until next time!
